New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday chaired a meeting of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, where discussions focused on India’s economic transformation, long-term development priorities and the next phase of reforms.

The meeting comes at a time when the government is looking to sustain India’s growth momentum while strengthening policy measures around investment, competitiveness and citizen-centric governance.

According to the Prime Minister, the council deliberated on a wide range of issues linked to India’s development roadmap. The discussions also covered ways to add fresh momentum to the reforms journey, with a focus on improving both Ease of Living for citizens and Ease of Doing Business for enterprises.

The meeting also assumes significance amid global economic uncertainty, with recent reports noting that the government is assessing broader risks to growth, trade and investment sentiment.

Officials are expected to continue discussions on policy measures aimed at strengthening India’s economic resilience, boosting reforms and supporting sustainable long-term development.
