Gwalior: In what could be one of the first public appearances of a Bentley in Gwalior, Maharani Priyadarshini Raje Scindia was seen driving a Bentley Bentayga around the historic Jai Vilas Palace, creating a striking blend of royal heritage and modern luxury motoring.
The luxury SUV, priced between ₹3.83 crore and ₹5.60 crore, drew attention as it moved through the palace surroundings, a setting long associated with India’s regal automotive legacy.
Speaking about her experience behind the wheel, Maharani Priyadarshini Raje Scindia revealed that her passion for driving began at the age of just four. She described the Bentley Bentayga as an ideal companion for long drives, praising its combination of luxury, character, advanced features and refined comfort.
She said that for her, a true luxury car must offer more than just sophistication. According to her, a high-quality music system and strong reliability are also essential parts of the luxury experience.
Reflecting on the growing presence of premium automotive brands in India, Maharani Priyadarshini Raje Scindia said it was heartening to see luxury marques returning to the country, reminding many of the grand motoring era of Indian Maharajas, when royal garages housed some of the finest cars in the world.
Around the iconic Jai Vilas Palace, the Bentley Bentayga looked less like a visitor and more like royalty returning home — a modern luxury SUV finding a natural stage in one of India’s most historic royal settings.
