The Times of India’s in-house stand-up comedian Vikramjit Singh got a huge range slaps from Indians around the world after TOI published a sarcastic news over International Yoga Day titled as “Why not a Kama Sutra Day instead?” The India’s biggest English media house got only negative comments for publishing the idiotic article.
The Punjabi writer Vikramjit starts being funny after writing, “And this government wants me to go out and celebrate World Yoga Day? It wants me to get out and do surya namaskar? Let me tell you, government, that surya will not be namaskar-ed by me. Not in this weather. Plan the event in December and watch me namaskar the hell out of it. In June, my namaskar will be restricted to the rolling up of a certain finger towards anyone who asks me to lift a finger.” If he feels its too hot, he simply could have locked himself inside a fridge. Well, even fridge will kick out such mentality.
Going full fledge against the Government development with a knife, TOI staff writer criticizes the Government’s Guinness World Record as his secret diary tells him Government breaking records is a failure for nation.
The writer was so furious that he doesn’t seem to be impressed with International Yoga Day at all! Call it funny in terms of language or mentality, this article was meant to make fun of India celebrating International Yoga Day. Writer can’t believe how Yoga can originate from India!
After making TOI editors laugh with his poor psychology, Vikramjit reaches to the solution which will make Indians more healthier than Yoga. Standing tall at the Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, he shouts World Kama Sutra Day is better then World Yoga Day.
TOI editors laughs more and marks his story as top pick of the day!
Writer further explains that Sex aka Kama Sutra is all similar to Yoga. He says that this kind of Day will get everybody excited and there will be large number of people joining from “malnourished African to an obese American.” He forgot to mention the Kam Sutra celebration between his own family members and the TOI editors sitting in front of him. Ofcourse! Why would he? People in India find it funny to criticize their own soil but they will sit in the toilet if they were to think negative about other countries.
Going overexcited while writing the article, the traitor, sorry! the reporter writes, “Let’s do this, everyone! Let’s all fill the roads, streets, malls and parks with our extraordinary prowess and show the world what we Indians are made of.” He even refer everyone to read Twinkle Khanna’s column which no one found interest on.
In the end, Mr. Singh in his unamusing style asks to show his Kama Sutra ideology in detail where when TOI finished up his useless fascination.
We wonder going over sarcastic about your own country and calling yourself tall is genius. Known for its point to point news coverage, TOI published such loose article for its readers around the world, what guys TOI had in their mind. Its all happening after people getting inspired from western culture and call Indian’s backward mentality. We won’t call Singh ji an idiot, after all for him at personal level, it was so funny that he wrote for TOI and then published a lengthy explicit version on his own blog. We are sure Mother India feels ashamed having such people grace.
Indians from around the world literally abused TOI & Vikramjit Singh on all the platforms where this article was published. TOI published it under news section, and helped readers to separate TIME and The Times of India once again. People even went crazy commenting, “Toilet paper of India”. Here are some reviews of this “Kama Sutra Day by TOI” –
