The advertisements were released by Alcoholics Anonymous, which is an nonprofit organization with a motto to help alcoholics “to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety”.
With the message “We won’t help you” coming from an NGO, which principal premise is to help people, we create tension and spark curiosity. “We will help each other” concludes the tagline inviting the person with drinking problems to join the group, not only to be helped, but to help as well.
