Srithai Superware will set up first manufacturing plant in Gujarat

Srithai Superware, the world’s largest and most trusted company in 100% melamine tableware is now set to commence its operations from India. The first manufacturing plant of the company will be set up in Sanand industrial Estate, near Ahmedabad, in Gujrat. The factory will commence operation in 2015. The Indian plant is a 100% Srithai Superware subsidiary and investment. Start up investment of 300 mill Bahts / 9.2 mill US$ / 57 crore INR. Total investment for setting up four plants in the next 10 years will be 1.2 bill Bahts / 37 mill US$ / 229 crore INR.

As part of its growth strategy, Srithai Superware India intends to delve deeper into India’s smaller cities and towns by having a varied price range to suit all pockets. The company also plans to export the products to neighboring/South-Asian countries, once the manufacturing unit is operational.

The 100% Melamine products are chip, crack and break resistant along with being stain and fade resistant. They are also hygienic and safe for consumers and are specially designed to suit the Indian customers liking.

Speaking at the announcement of the plant launch Sanan Angubolkul, Chairman and President, Srithai Superware PCL: said: “With an aim at bringing fine-dining ambience to your homes, Srithai Superware India, is looking at increasing the wow quotient amidst customers in India through superior quality and fabulous design products made in 100% pure melamine material. These products are much-suited to Indian dining habits. Our customers trust in our products, features the highest in our list of priorities and that has motivated us to expand further and touch new horizons. Having a manufacturing unit in India, we are expecting exponential growth in the business, as customers can get the products faster and at better prices. We aim to add culinary delight to your dishes and dining through our high end servingware.”

Srithai Superware, a Thailand based company initially entered the Indian markets in the year 2009 marketing their brand Ektra range*, which is a high quality range of Melamine products for metro living.  The range offers exclusive sets like the soup set, the pasta set, the salad set, high-end dinner sets and many other such products to cater to modern food habits, needs and requirements.
