In India, Republic Day honours the date on which the Constitution of India came into force replacing the Government of India Act 1935 as the governing document of India on 26 January 1950.
The date of 26 January was chosen to honour the declaration of independence of 1947. It is one of the three national holidays in India.
Team SouLSteer wishes everyone a Happy Republic Day with prosperous messages from the influential people of the city.
People should not celebrate this day as a holiday. People should celebrate it as a national festival. Participate in this festival, wherever possible whether it be school or college. Do something substantial and meaningful on this day with some purpose.
-P. Narahari, Collector & DM, Gwalior
Let us reiterate our resolve to constitute India into a sovereign socialist, secular, democratic Republic. 120 crore+ we are a great force. Together we can achieve the unachievable. Let this be our resolution on the occasion of Republic Day.
