Today is 22th death anniversary of British Formula One racing legend James Simon Wallis Hunt. Driving for Marlboro Team McLaren in 1976, he won the 27th Formula One season. Born on 29 August 1947 in England, James Hunt died on 15 June 1993 with an heart attack some hours after he made a marriage proposal to his girlfriend.
Known as an aggresive driver & womaniser, James completed 93 races in Formula One winning 10 of those. His association with females one after another was well known. He use to take cocaine & marijuana during the parties. He always had a tiff with his rival Niki Lauda which was showcased in a famous 2013 biographical film called Rush.
From 1973 to 1979 he raced for Hesketh Racing, Marlboro Team McLaren and Olympus Cameras Wolf Racing in Formula One. After retiring he took the occupation of media commentator and side by side he was a businessman too.
