Gwalior, 5 August 2014: To benefit the citizens of Hem Singh Parade, Gwalior, Municipal Corporation has constructed a 20 lakh litre capacity water tank. The tank was inaugrated by Mayor Sameeksha Gupta, MLA and former Minister Narayan Singh Kushwaha, Moderator Brijendra Singh Jadon, BJP State Vice-President Ved prakash Sharma, BJP District President Abhay Chaudhary, MIC Member Pushplata Rathor and regional councillor Khushbu Gupta, Municipal Commissioner Vinod Sharma.
On the occassin Mayor Sameeksha Gupta said commencement of the tank will benefit 20 thousand citizens of ward 52, 53 and 48 with water from Tigra dam. Remarkably the 20 lakh capacity water tank has been constructed under project Uday with a cost of Rs. 1.70 crore.
Saplings were also planted under the campus of water tank by the guests under the greenery campaign by Municipal Corporation.
