Fortis Institute of Renal Sciences and Transplantation (FIRST) which deals in kidney transplantation has successfully performed two ABO compatible surgeries and both patients are in fine feather at Fortis Flt. Lt. Rajan Dhall Hospital located at Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. Talking to SouLSteer, Dr. Sanjeev Gulati, Fortis DM explains, “Earlier patients have to rush towards Singapore and other countries with at least Rs. 50 lacs in hand, now thanks to ABO incompatible transplantation one can stay in the country and even the cost is just Rs. 10 lacs. After the operation, it takes 7-10 days for a patient to heal from the surgery.” Fortis Healthcare has its presence in 12 countries and 65 hospitals nationwide, talks about the expansion to Gwalior region Dr. Gulati said, “We are definately planning to expand into Gwalior and Jhansi.”
