Modi in USA: Meets Tulsi Gabbard of United States House of Representatives

New York, 28 September 2014: Tulsi Gabbard, the first Hindu member of House of Representatives of the United States, called on the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on Sunday.

She presented a copy of the Bhagavad Gita to the Prime Minister. She expressed support for the Prime Minister`s proposal for an International Yoga Day. Defence related matters, and counter-terrorism efforts also came up for discussion.

The Prime Minister invited her to visit India.
