New Delhi, 9 August 2014: Minister of Women and Child Development Maya Singh met Minister of Transport and Minister of Rural Development Nitin Jairam Gadkari in New Delhi and urged to start Gwalior-Jhansi highway soon. Gadkari assured that the highway will be commissioned shortly.
Minister Singh called on Union Road Transport Minister urged to improve Gwalior in terms of transport. She said after understanding the importance of Gwalior it needs to be developed and have more features. She favoured to quickly put pending highway projects put into effect and urged to complete unfinished projects. Singh also stated the need for continuous maintenance of the highways.
Gadkari assured Minister of Women and Child Development that Madhya Pradesh’s requirement related to road transport will be completed under priority.
