Kota, 12 March 2015: Today a function was organized at village panchayat office of Modak station village of Ramganjmandi in Kota. In which Head Bhagwan Singh Dhakad and BDO Jagdish Meena were present. Businessman Rajesh Pareta arrived and after handing over the keys of his Renault Duster to sarpanch Mamta Mevada he said, “From today this car is yours, I have just one condition that the car should be used only as garbage collection vehicle.” The onlookers were shocked to hear and see. In fact, before donating he brought the car with ‘garbage collection vehicle’ painted on it. The car is registered as RJ20CD0800.

Rajesh Pareta said he had bought the car in 2012, “From the very beginning the car had a problem of electric system and air condition. Car was lying in company’s workshop for 200 days from 365 days a year. Nonetheless, company failed to improve the car. Frustrated, I donated it to the village for garbage collection.” For the record Renault Duster RxZ dCi costs Rs. 11.39 lakhs.

This reminds us of the famous Rolls-Royce story when Maharaja Jai Singh of Alwar during his trip to London went to the showroom in plain clothes and he was insulted & sent back. He later sent a message to the showroom that Maharaja is arriving to the showroom for buying a Rolls-Royce. He bought all the six cars parked at the showroom. He put the cars for garbage collection on arrival in Alwar. Later he stopped the cars after a apologization from the company.
