Japan's 'grandmother' poet departed at 101

Japanese poet Toyo Shibata born in June 26, 1911, who started writing at 92 and whose first anthology Kujikenaide (Don’t lose heart) sold almost 1.6 million copies, died in Tokyo on 20 January 2013 aged 101, her son said.
