In the wish for all round development of city, state and country in this new year Gwalior Municipal Corporation organized Nav Samvatsar Festival to welcome Plavang Naam Nav Samvatsar. On this occasion, Vinod Sharma, Municipal Commissioner gave regards to residents and wished that the upcoming year tend to be enjoyable for everyone.
On the inaugration of Nav Samvatsar festival, lamp was lighted on the gateway in which Municipal Commissioner Vinod Sharma, Additional SP Pratibha S. Mathew, SDM Bidisha Mukherjee and Varanasi Shehnai player Ustad Abbas Bhai lighted the lamp.
Festival started at 4:40 pm. Students from Radiant School, MLB College and Vivekanand Kendra participated in the event. On second half of the program at 5.25 pm, Sneh Singha, Anant Purandre, Ankur Dharkar from Shivupri performed the duet of Sitar and Violin and at 6 pm vedic chants were read out by Pathak Guruji.
During the program, organized by Municipal Corporation group by Shyam Chaudhary gave the attractive presentation on Save Daughter campaign.
