Mayor of Gwalior, Sameeksha Gupta celebrated Raksha Bandhan in a distinct way. She tied Rakhi to the soldiers of 13th Battalion and made them resolve to quit tobacco. She said that soldiers patrol the city day and night for our protection and we should never forget out commitment towards them. During the program Commandant of 13 Battalion T. Amongla Ayer, Company commander Jitendra Singh Chauhan, Ajay Rawat, Subedar Major Rajendra Prasad Bahre and others were present.
After that Mayor tied Rakhi on the hands of journalists and photographers and greeted them with sweets. After a while Mayor headed to the Madhav Ashram of blind children located at Jhansi Road and gave them a sister’s affection by tying silky Rakhis and presenting confectioneries. At the ashram, councilor Purshottam Bhargav, Member of Bharat Vikas Parishad Sanskriti Branch Reena Agarwal, Anita Asthana, Jyoti Agarwal, Lakshmi Sharma, Gajendra Asthana and others were present.
