Its not for his girlfriend Anushka to impress, its just his own passion about sportscars that has led him to buy the fastest and most powerful Audi in production, the Audi R8 LMX. At just 26 of age Virat is the captian of Indian Test team and also one of best batsman in India. He is hugely popular with his batting style and fashion. We have already seen him driving his Audi R8 with Chris Gayle earlier in Delhi, and now he has bought the new model of it. After launching his own fashion brand and gaining popularity in cricket, Virat is surely making some good cash.
Capable of rocketing to 100 kmph from none in just 3.4 seconds before topping out at 318 kmph, the Audi R8 LMX is the most powerful R8 ever produced by Audi. The Audi R8 LMX is based on the acclaimed V10 plus model with its high-revving, mid mounted ten-cylinder engine, double wishbone suspension and ASF (Audi Space Frame) aluminium body. A compact, seven speed S tronic transmission transfers the power to the quattro permanent all wheel drive system, which distributes it judiciously to racing-inspired 19 inch, 20-spoke wheels.
The R8 LMX will not only be the most powerful roadgoing iteration of the super sports car ever made, but will also be notable as the first production car to adopt laser high beam lighting as standard. Active at speeds of 60 kmph and above, the laserlight spots supplement the LED high beam in the R8 LMX offering twice the range greatly enhancing visibility and safety. An intelligent camera based sensor system detects other road users and actively adjusts the light pattern to avoid dazzle.
The Audi exclusive interior features blue accents throughout. The bucket seats are upholstered in Fine Nappa leather, with Sepang Blue diamond stitching, and the backrest covers are finished in Ara Blue. The colour is also sewn into the edges of the parking brake lever, centre tunnel console, steering wheel and instrument cowl.
The R8 LMX boasts front and rear carbon fibre spoilers, side flics, engine compartment cover, exterior mirror housings, sideblades, large rear wing and diffuser all in matt carbon fibre. The Singleframe grille, front air intakes and rear outlet grille are finished in titanium grey, while the sports exhaust system features high-gloss black tailpipes.
Audi R8 starts at Rs. 1.71 crore in India and goes upto Rs. 2.32 crore.
