After helping her, fireman marries the victim of domestic violence (1)

Cameron, who is a firefighter-paramedic, he met Melissa in the worst circumstances. She was found, beaten, bruised and bathed in blood, after having been stabbed in the back more than 30 times by his ex-boyfriend.

Melissa spent three weeks in the hospital fighting for her life. Had a stroke, and even had to receive 12 units of blood. The doctors do not know what would happen to her.

Miraculously, after the rehabilitation, Melissa came out without even using a cane and then studied to be a nurse, after being inspired by the people who helped her.

One day, during her visit to a church to talk about her experience, she was reunited by surprise with two of her first responders. One of them was Cameron.

As a defender of survivors to the domestic abuse, Melissa was asked to throw the first ball in a game of the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team, in Florida.

But when the time came to do the release she realized that there was something written on the ball: “will you marry me?”

Much to the amazement and applause from all the audience, Cameron pleaded kneeling before her and he swore that he would be her protector forever.

And, of course, Melissa said yes.
